Putting people first
in product leadership.

Jason Kienzle

Hi, I’m Jason Kienzle! I started Kienzle Innovations with a simple idea: spreading the success and benefits of human-centered product principles. I’ve spent a decade working with startups and scale-ups, watching teams of brilliant people take big ideas and build amazing things, often with very few resources and never by relying on AI to do the thinking for them. Sometimes that means getting scrappy and creative, and it always means rolling up my sleeves alongside the team. I’ve seen the highs, lows, and curveballs of product management, product design, strategy and ops, and everything in between.

My mission is to give my time and experience to teams that need Product Leadership but aren’t ready to invest in a full-time CPO hire. Whether you’re starting from scratch with a big idea and no team yet to build it, or you’re a few years in and hitting hiccups in how product and technology fit together, I can join you not as an outside “consultant” but as a part-time teammate working to maximize impact alongside the rest of your leadership team. Let’s put people back into your Product, together, and build a strong foundation for your business’s future success.

Team & Org Building

Hiring, structuring, and developing product teams from scratch or from what's already there.

Design systems, UX research programs, and the design culture that makes products people actually use.

Engineering Alignment

Agile practices, backlog health, and the process glue that keeps product and engineering moving as one.

When teams bring me in.

Closing your first round

You've got a big idea and the funding to chase it, but no one yet to build the product function. I step in to get strategy, design, and engineering moving as one from day one.

Needing senior leadership but not a hire

You need the judgment of a CPO, but the budget and timing aren't there for a full-time one yet. I bring that senior leadership part-time, embedded with your team instead of advising from the outside.

Hitting hiccups a few years in

Your team's in place, but product, design, and engineering have drifted into silos and things are starting to slip. I get in the weeds with the team to get everyone moving in the same direction again.

Different starting points. Same approach: shoulder to shoulder with your team until the work is done.
